Hey Lisa;

Live in Country NSW, Work from home.

My family makes me happy, coding makes me happy ... and just now I found out mowing my long grass with a ride on mower makes me happy :)

where do you live and what do you do for work?
Atlanta, Georgia - Usability/IA/Interaction Design

Tell me something about you that’s too unique and special to blend into a generic persona?
I love to knit, it reminds me of coding HTML oddly enough!

What did you have for dinner last night?
Spaghetti and a baked potato

What makes you happy?
Most anything, a sunny day, gifts in the mail, surprises, kissing my husband, playing with my daughter.

Perth, Australia - Freelance, IA/UI/Interaction Design

I can't stand silence, I must have noise or music around me almost 24/7. I visualise off music, which others think is strange.

I eat way to much pasta.

Being creative makes me happy.

He he - Gary and his weird music-to-screen thing. I visual music, but not in a way that I can actually use for work ... more like 3D waveforms ... possibly linked to learning sound engineering and mixing :-)

@NathanaelB - I see hundreds of images, some as movies, some as colour flows, sometimes to the point that its just way to much. But I have learned to turn it off and on. Its like you bring them into focus and they just flood into your mind.

Hence I can shunt the music visuals into the background. Which is good for coding/writing and in the foreground is good for being creative.

I learnt to do this in high school when I learnt some advanced contour drawing techniques with a little mediation. Yes we had radical art teachers for back in the day.

I'm a little behind with reading blog posts so sorry for the late reply.

Where do you live and what do you do for work? - Canberra, and I work in UX/IA/IxD/Accessibility.

Tell me something about you that’s too unique and special to blend into a generic persona? - I'm actually quite a shy person (really!). I love doing lots of creative stuff, like making music and photography. I play the djembe but wish I had the time to join a drumming circle.

What did you have for dinner last night? - A cheese platter. Only a light dinner as we're so full from the Multicultural food festival.

What makes you happy? - Everything and anything. I was particularly happy on the weekend as there were lots of people returning my smiles!

Heh, this should be fun:
1) Live in Perth. What do I do for work? Beg. Pure and simple. And offer FREE stuff. Will you please hire me to do your SEO? I'll give you free Analysis n' such!

2) IS there a generic persona? Where can I get one? Think of how much that would rock at parties. "Hey, where's Jake?" "He's over there, talking to some generic persona."

I think my uniqueness comes from an inability to respond to questionnaires in anything less than a smartass way. Yeah?

3) NO. What did YOU have for dinner last night?

Okay, I had Hungry Jacks in the car, and then a beer at some random guy's house while he gave me an old fishtank.

4) Humour. Random Acts of Kindness. Acts of Creation (and I don't just mean my kids - though they're certainly included on this list).

-------

That was fun, thanks. Especially the parts about Gary and his medications. Um... I mean, mediTations. HA!

Hi matey! Here you go:

1) Living in London for a while yet, working as a full-time UX/Web Designer

2) Er... I don't currently own a TV?

3) I had a nice pre-made organic vegetable soup from the supermarket last night, but the previous night's dinner was more interesting, steak in creamy mushroom sauce and chips in a restaurant in Lisbon, accompanied by some Fado music. But actually, the vegetable soup from the supermarket *was* pretty good.

4) Food prepared with love. People with a wicked sense of humour. People that are nice on public transport.
